Ingredients
First, some ingredients that are NOT used to make SolarShine:
SolarShine is NOT soap, which could leave filmy soap scum behind that will reduce the output of your solar panels while also attracting dirt and grime back onto the surface of the panels.
SolarShine does NOT contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like Ammonia or Nitrogen, which you may find in many glass-only cleaners. The problems caused by using VOCs to clean Solar panels can be extensive. For example, many panels have anti-reflective coatings that can be damaged, and solar panel output will be permanently reduced. Even worse, using a harsh glass cleaning product can void your panel warranty.
SolarShine is NOT a corrosive detergent and will never damage your panels, roof and wildlife.
SolarShine is NOT flammable.
SolarShine IS formulated specifically to clean and protect solar panels.
To Clean:
This is accomplished by using a patented, biodegradable, non-ionic surfactant and degreaser to remove dirt, grime, oil, bird droppings, tree sap and more with streak-free properties that can still be achieved using “hard” water. No need to use distilled soft water!
To Protect:
To truly separate SolarShine from traditional cleaners, our formula includes a patented ‘clear coat’ quaternized silicone polymer blend that coats panels and minimizes the ability of dirt, oil, bird droppings and more from sticking to the glass, leaving panels cleaner, longer.
